“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23)
The term “worship” appears more than 250 times in the Bible. Interestingly, it appears more often in books like Exodus or Deuteronomy than in Psalms.
The Bible tells us, that worship is more than a song and more than just an activity. As Christians, we may be all too familiar with words such as “worship service”, “worship night” and “worship band”.
But what does worship mean?
Who do we worship?
Why do we worship?
How do we worship?
What is true worship?
Worship both starts with encounter
and leads to encounter.
